Dear Coach V,
Thank you for
giving me the opportunity to review this
video. I feel privileged to have done so.
I’m a strong supporter of what you’re doing,
and I do indeed feel that every single
person who is involved in playing soccer,
coaching soccer, or who is raising a young
soccer player should watch this video, and
they should watch it often throughout the
different stages of development.
"Blast
the Ball" is an incredible and long
overdue tool. I have played soccer for
almost 2 decades with players from all
over the world – Finland, Sweden,
England, The Netherlands, Australia,
Switzerland, and beyond – and I have
watched amazing players, national team
players, try to impart their skills and
knowledge on to teammates here in the
U.S. I have seen them struggle to
convey this information.
This
program peels away the layers and gets
down to the basic vital skills that all
great players must possess. It breaks
down the building blocks of the kick and
presents them each individually in such
a way that players at all skill levels
can understand the concepts and easily
begin to put them into action.
The video
itself is excellent because it comes
across as more informative than
instructional – you’re not just given
the “what” and the “how”, you’re given
the “why” and I think that owning that
knowledge will inspire coaches and
players to immediately begin honing
these basic skills. I’m 26 years old
and I have been playing soccer since I
was 8, but I as watched this video, I
found myself “soccer hopping” all over
my living room, practicing along with
each step, and already feeling more
confident in my understanding. I now
realize just how important these basic
skills are and I know that I will return
to this video again and again.
Sincerely,
